The BMS Pillars represent 5 key business processes that are part of the Business Management System Framework.
Pillar 1 - Strategic Planning & Management
The first and possibly most important end to end business process is Strategic Planning and Management. This process consists of the following subsystems:
- Strategic Planning
- Business Planning
- Annual Operating Planning
Strategic plans drive the long-term direction of the entire business. Once completed, the strategic plan is used to develop a much more detailed 3 to 4-year business plan. The business plan, in turn, is used to develop an annual operating plan which has a 12 month (1 year) horizon.
Pillar 2 - Product Development
The product development process is a series of steps that a company follows to design, create, and bring a new product to market.
The process can vary from company to company and from industry to industry, but it typically includes the following stages:

- Testing & Validation
- Design and Manufacturing

It includes best practices, methodologies, and technology solutions aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales process. The goal of an SOS is to standardize and optimize sales activities to drive revenue growth.
Pillar 4 - Order Fulfillment
Order fulfillment refers to the process of receiving, processing, and delivering orders to customers. It includes all the steps that are necessary to ensure that a customer's order is delivered to them accurately and on time.
The process is critical to the success of an online business, as efficient and accurate order fulfillment helps ensure customer satisfaction and builds trust and loyalty.
